KUALA LUMPUR: Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB)’s wholly-owned unit trust management company, Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB), has declared a total income distribution payout of RM300mil for its fixed price fund, Amanah Saham Bumiputera 3 - Didik (ASB 3 Didik).

“ASB 3 Didik declared a total income distribution payout of RM300mil, equivalent to 4.25 sen per unit for 308,197 unit holders, who currently own 7.06 billion units,” PNB said in a statement.

As of June 24, ASB 3 Didik recorded a net realised income of RM412.65mil.

The income distribution of ASB 3 Didik translates to total returns of 4.25%, outperforming its benchmark Maybank 12- Month Fixed Deposit of 1.89% by 236 basis points.

ASB 3 Didik derived its income from realised gains, dividends, as well as other income from domestic and international investments. International investment is still the largest contributor to income at 23% and remains above 20% of the overall portfolio.

“Despite the recent market turbulence and threats of inflation, PNB remains steadfast in advancing the well-being of its unit holders by distributing sustainable returns amidst uncertain economic conditions,” it said.

PNB said the computation of income distribution for ASB 3 Didik is based on the average minimum monthly balance held throughout the financial year of the fund.

The distribution declared will be automatically reinvested into the unit holders’ accounts on July 1.
